Your article supports my firm belief that it is in large part the ridiculous two party system that allows the extremes to prevail. I think of the many Republicans I know who vote for the likes of Trump and DeSantis because "I absolutely will NOT vote for a Dem" and the equal numbers who vote for people they don't support (like Biden, for me) because "I absolutely will NOT vote for a Republican.")
