Wow. My mom died in November, after a long slow decline with dementia.We had to clean out, empty and sell the house where she had lived for 62 years, raising six children and at various times housing a number of grandchildren.

We also gave away many many of her things, and were so delighted when a young family would take a piece of furniture that our Dad had made, excited that it would be placed in their child's room.
