What Are We Doing, America?

Why is everything suddenly surreal?

Jeez, America.

We are in the middle of a presidential campaign, just weeks away from deciding who will lead our nation for the next four to eight years. It’s a big deal. A big fucking deal, to quote our current-but-soon-to-be-replaced President, Joe Biden.

The world is at war. Russia, our decades-old arch-enemy, has invaded it’s sovereign neighbor country and is doing everything it can to annex it. Europe is watching its biggest threat since WWII, right on its borders.

The Middle East is at war, even though our media keeps talking about the “threat of all-out war.” This IS an all-out war. One country (yup, our bosom friend Israel) had repeatedly attacked other nations in the past few months in the name of “defense”. War is raging in Gaza, although it is clearly a one-sided war. Now bombs are falling on Israel’s northern neighbor Lebanon. Assassinations of political leaders have taken place in cities around the region.

The climate is clearly out of control as well. Mother Nature has had just about enough of mankind’s ignorance and selfishness and is letting loose with the consequences. One hurricane, one big storm, has devastated millions of homes, towns, cities, businesses, and families. Cities that were once thought to be safe havens…
