Watch the Rich Guys Go to Space!!
Nothing defines the state of the country more than the blind egotism of the billionaire class
I admit it. I am not a fan of capitalism, especially in its current unfettered American state.
I am not a fan of letting the people who were born rich go to the best schools and live in the best places just because of an accident of birth. I am not a fan of letting them walk into high-paying executive jobs while the lesser-born peasants must work and struggle to launch careers.
I am not a fan of giant agro-business, big pharma, or the monopolies that control our food. I don’t support public money going to private schools.
I would dearly love to live in a country where my tax dollars went to public education, public safety, and public health. I’d love to live in a country where higher education is equally available to the poor and the rich, depending on ability and achievement.
I don’t have any idea what hedge funds are or why the people who manage them seem to have money falling on them from the skies. All I know is, they don’t seem to contribute as much to society as teachers, nurses, local police, or firefighters. They are in no way as useful to me as the men and women who pave our roads and trim back the trees.
