Time to Shop Local
Buh-Bye, Amazon!
The past few years have been challenging, to say the least. Like everyone else, I dealt with the pressures of the pandemic. When everything was locked down, and we were all wiping off our deliveries and washing the bottoms of our shoes, I was here with my grandkids. I took care of a kindergartener who used an iPad to access her virtual classroom, a three-year-old, and their newborn brother.
I did NOT leave the house.
As the pandemic waned and things became somewhat more normal, I found myself with a benign brain tumor. I had my surgery in August of 2022, which left me with a whole range of issues. I was off balance, dealing with pain, unable to deal with crowds or noise or bright light.
I did NOT leave the house.
I was so happy, back then, to order everything I needed online, and to have it all delivered. I bought food, clothes, cleaning supplies, dog food, soap and shampoo. It all appeared on my doorstep and it was wonderful.
But.
Those days are behind me now, thankfully.
My feelings about ordering online have changed too.
Now that I am seeing the overthrow of the government by the billionaires and their boys, I am more and more eager to shop locally. I don’t want my money going…
