RFK, Jr. Makes Me Sick

Or at least he intends to

I swear I try not to be too judgmental about people. I really do, to keep an open mind and to listen to all sides.

For example, I have been seeing hundreds of negative reports about Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. I decided to read more about the man, skipping past the memes and snark.

What I found was surprising. As an old hippie-style grandmother, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Trump’s appointee for Secretary of Health believes in healthy foods. He wants to lower the number of additives in our food and bring healthier foods to our many rural food deserts.

He also wants to limit the connections between the FDA and the pharmaceutical industry. I support these ideas fully.

So I am happy to say that I am an open-minded skeptic. I am willing to say that RFK is not an evil monster who wants to kill babies.

Unfortunately, his anti-science philosophy will definitely kill babies.

You see, I have come to the well-informed opinion that RFK is a lot like me. A reasonably intelligent person with some interesting ideas. Yay, us.

But at no point in my life have I ever thought I was qualified to run a government agency. Especially one that is in charge of the health and safety…
