Oh, my! We had a very similar experience with our rescue! He looks a LOT like your girl, and is also high energy, nervous and super barky. He guards the property like a soldier, even though the scariest thing around is a squirrel.

We did his DNA, too. I also was told by a vet that he might be Rhodesian Ridgeback. Or Blackmouth cur. I KNOW he's a terrier by his ears, his bulgy eyes and his slight underbite.

The DNA results for this 50 lb short-haired boy? A mix of Irish Setter, Husky, Springer Spaniel and Lab. Um????

At any rate, I love him to bits and he is a very good boy!
