What the hell is going on in the American media? What?

I’m old enough to remember how my father believed whatever Walter Cronkite reported, and how fervently he followed the newscasts every evening.

I grew up believing we had a free press in this wonderful country full of freedom and honesty.

What a crock.

Last fall Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu of Israel was facing a criminal trial and likely jail time. Protesters flooded the streets of his country, demanding his resignation.

Then Hamas did him the enormous favor of attacking and killing hundreds of innocent Israeli civilians. All of a sudden, the world was swept with sympathy for Israel, and rightfully so.

We hate “terrorism” in all its forms. Don’t we?

We firmly believe that every sovereign nation has a right to defend itself. Don’t we?

Since Hamas’ attack, Netanyahu has waged a relentless, vicious, overwhelming slaughter of the people of Gaza. At first, world opinion was somewhat muted, because we believed that “every sovereign nation has a right to defend itself.”
