I will not vote for Trump. I will not vote for Biden either. I'm an American who believes that democracy means choosing a candidate who most closely reflects my beliefs and values. I have been naive enough to believe that I live in an actual democracy. There are many choices. For me, continuing to hold my nose, ignore my conscience and vote for the "lesser of two evils", as my Democratic friends have pressured me to do for decades, is an exercise in futility. Our system is royally fucked.

Perhaps if more people had resisted the urge to just keep voting for one of the two parties over and over and over, perhaps we would not be engaged in endless war, genocide, and pointless military adventures across the globe. Maybe we would have actually addressed climate change, income inequality, our failing and crashing healthcare system and all the rest of the problems that plague us today.

Honestly, I understand how you feel. I HATE Trump so deeply that it scares me. But I am one woman, making my best decision. The rage and fear that greets me every time I suggest not voting for Biden is astonishing. Perhaps it isn't only the MAGA who are in a cult?
