Make them illegal.

Make it a crime to carry one in public, or to buy one. Make it a crime to build one. Offer buy backs.

Stop selling them NOW. Make it illegal to repair one, or to collect one.

Is it going to stop every shooting? NO. We still have crime but at least we have laws.

It is pure insanity to allow these weapons of war to be in the hands of untrained civilians.

As for your "teach coping skills" and "reduce the stigma of mental health" stuff; how are you going to address the behavioral and emotional needs of millions of Americans? THAT is a far less achievable goal, as I know well after 40 years of marriage to a family psychologist.

We have to stop this.

"Freedom" doesn't mean carrying a fucking gun. Freedom means going about your life as an average citizen without fearing you'll be blown to bits by the next frail boy with an AR15.
