Good point! I was once reprimanded because I observed a second grader in severe asthma distress. As the Mom of two asthmatic boys, I knew how to use the inhaler and administered it while the secretary called his Mom. Our nurse was outside dealing a badly broken leg and I knew it was an emergency. Nonetheless, I was reprimanded because "it endangered the child". A year later Newtown happened and they were telling us to start carrying guns to class.
