Exactly! My daughter did exactly that.

A birth generally depletes a female teacher’s sick time, at which point they will have to start “saving up” again. While I have no data to substantiate it, my guess is a lot of female teachers try to time the birth of their children so they are born during the summer months.

Exactly! My daughter did exactly that. she still ended using almost all of her sick time so when she got bronchitis, her choice was to go to school sick (not fair to her or her students) or stay home and forgo her salary for a week.
