Democrats: You’re Asking the Wrong Question

And it’s only making things worse

The hand-wringing and panic among Democrats is completely understandable. The candidate to whom they hitched their star was already stale when he announced his intention to be reelected. A man who by most accounts is a decent human being was showing the wear and tear of his many years of service. Poll after poll showed that even Americans pleased with his policies were worried about his stamina.

Biden had promised to be a one-term President. Somebody in his inner circle should have insisted that he keep that promise.

Now we find ourselves stuck between an immoral, dishonest and delusional autocrat and a doddering old man. Nobody that I know is happy about the choice. Nobody.

But when the most obvious choice appears to be for the Democrats to admit defeat and replace Biden on the ticket, they are quibbling over the details.

If we choose Harris, too many people will be turned off. She’s not that popular.

If we don’t chose Harris, we will lose the Black vote.

Is Newsome too “California” to get the Midwestern vote?

And on and on it goes as they try to predict who can defeat Trump and save democracy.
