Ah, yes. Guns have been given to kids for years.....one of the most annoying traits of those with whom I attempt to engage is the deliberate pretense of misunderstanding my statements.

You know very well that I wasn't referring to young Johnny getting a hunting rifle on his 16th birthday. You know that. You KNOW that I am referring to the inexplicable glorification of the AR15 and similar weapons of war on the part of the far right.

You also know that one crazy Dem in one state does not equal the reverence shown by the GOP to the disgusting antics of MTG or Boebert.

This is what I find so demoralizing. That a highly intelligent (I presume) college professor would choose to play faux intellectual games at a moment like this.

ONE party tried to overthrow an election. ONE party has raised up those who perpetuate a dangerous lie.

My question remains: GOP, what the hell will you tell your children about your choices?
